My modern collection has grown from a pack of
Gripping Beast Delta Force figures bought on a whim to break up the painting routine, to a sizeable force bought from eBay.
The British figures are TAG, and apart from some touching up are good to go apart from the 6 obviously painted by someone who has had no contact with
British desert kit. These will get repainted into a temperate DPM pattern at some stage.
The moderns are going to be used with FNG rules, to fight the Phu Bar
campaign. I'm busy building terrain for the game which will double for Vietnamese jungle as well. Its my intention to eventually get some desert style buildings for other parts of the island.
The American Forces.
28mm Delta Force figures from Gripping Beast. Lovely sculpting, but unfortunately a couple of M4's have lost their barrels in transit. The American Forces detached to Phu Bar are for the most part armed with M16 family weapons, although a marksman carries the M14 for heavier punch. Clothed in Tri Colour desert BDU's, these sodiers will have a hard time fitting in with the local jungle terrain, but will be perfectly suited to the sandy areas of the island.
The British Forces.
Armed with SA80 family weapons, and LAW80's these chaps are going to be the mainstay of any operation in Phu Bar.
